What happens when time is not a constraining dimension?
How would time be experienced through the lenses of immortality when it is not linear?
Deathlocked Phoenix is a digital assemblage that explores the concept of time in the digital realm, for it is a place where physics doesn’t rule, and time is non-existent. Through the idea of immortality embedded in the figure of the vampire, we question the perception of time both in the physical and the digital worlds.
We seek to investigate the process of virtualisation, one that erases linearity and induces new and mysterious ways of experiencing past, present, and future.
The piece wanders into the collapse of time through 3D animation and generative algorithms, alongside mediated memories and found footage.
